Each year the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce recognizes two Deer Park residents as Outstanding Layman and Laywoman. This recognition honors two individuals who have made significant contributions to others by giving of self through service. Join us to recognize the selected individuals!

This year we will be awarding the Outstanding Layman and Laywoman during the Mayor’s Evening of Community Praise, formerly the Mayor’s Prayer Luncheon, which is scheduled to take place Thursday, April 25, 2019. We are looking forward to presenting this honor to some very deserving and hard-working individuals.

To nominate a Layperson of the year, please submit this form by April 1, 2020.

Join Mayor Jerry Mouton for an Evening of Community Praise, presented by the Deer Park Chamber of Commerce. This event will bring local church leaders to worship and pray together as a community! Together, we will offer prayers for our city, nation and world.

The event will be held on Thursday, April 25 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at the Jimmy Burke Activity Center.

“It is a true honor to gather our faith-based community for this year’s Prayer Dinner,” Mayor Mouton said. “We want to encourage people of all denominations to bring their families and their children for a night of praise, worship and prayer, as well as a special performance by Chris Crump from ‘The Voice.’”

Please note: This year, the Prayer Dinner will be a ticketed event, with single tickets and table tickets available for purchase at the Chamber of Commerce (120 E. 8th Street, Suite 2). Tickets for the event are $10 per person or $60 per table, and the cost includes dinner provided by Chick-fil-A.
